At Four Paws Animal Hospital, dental health is a huge part of an overall wellness program. During your pet’s visit, we will examine his or her mouth for any tartar build-up, gingivitis, fractured or loose teeth, growths, and/or any other problems you may have noticed. A dental scale and polish is highly recommended on a routine basis as bacteria in the mouth can enter the bloodstream causing damage to the heart, liver, kidneys, and other internal organs.
We have a variety of products that can be used at home to help you to care for your pet’s dental health. This can help lengthen the time between dental cleanings. These include the traditional toothbrush and toothpaste, dental chew treats, and products that can be added to your pet’s water. We can show you how each product works and give you recommendations based on your pet’s lifestyle.
